Working collaboratively with you, the customer, CV Guru will put together a tailor-made CV that markets you, your skills, your achievements and your experience in a way that will make you stand out from the competition and attract the eye of a potential employer.
In this competitive world, you need an edge to get noticed. CV Guru is that edge.
If your CV needs re-drafting or tweaking, then based on the information you have provided and your length of career, we will offer you either a one page CV writing service or a two page writing service and the price will depend on the amount of work and time involved and your level of expertise. If you are working at management level or above then the fees are higher.
If you want your CV or cover letter completed within 24 hours of your order, there is an extra charge. Otherwise, CV Guru will return the first draft of your CV or cover letter back to you within 48 hours of your order, once your payment has been processed.
If you want to meet up for a face-to-face consultation, then I can arrange an appointment at my office in Woolwich, South-East London where we can work collaboratively on producing a CV that gives you the best chance of getting interviews and a job. For this service I charge per hour.
We wouldn't recommend a CV that is more than 2 pages long as recruiters and employers simply don't have the time or the interest to wade through pages and pages of information. They want to know what you can offer them, what you have done and whether or not you are a candidate for the particular job vacancy they are trying to fill, no more, no less.
If you don't have a CV, then send us your work history with job titles, dates, employer names and location, job duties and responsibilities, education and training including names of qualifications and grades. List any voluntary work, hobbies and interests and any achievements that you are proud of whether they are work related or not. We will create your CV from this information and then send it back to you for your approval and tweak until you are happy with it. Then we will send the final approved version back to you in either a Word and/or pdf document so you can start applying for jobs.
Give us a call for a chat if you have any questions or have any queries about how we can help you.
CV is short for Curriculum Vitae which is Latin for ‘course of life’ and summarises you, your achievements and highlights your features and benefits in the same way that a company might advertise a product or service.
In the USA and other parts of the world, they use the word résumé instead of CV but they are essentially the same – a summary of someone’s work and achievements in order to help get a job.
